1) Convergence culture is the current culture, in which one we using different kinds of media and so it forms one and only one media. I think the best example is the new smartphones as Iphone or Samsung Galaxy. We use them to listen music but also to go on social media as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or Snapchat, We can read the news as well, know what time it is, text people, call people, email them, take pictures, watch movies...
2) Creative engagement is when you are using ideas and reviews from your employees but mainly from your clients. For example, Some TV shows went on forums which were talking about the series to adapt, change their scenario and so to make it unpredictable.

Blog assignement 5
1) The long tail theory is when a company decide to sell a large amounts of different products and not only the mainstreams one because the distribution costs are low. My example is Netflix, through their large choice of tv shows and the exclusivity for some of them like House of Cards. So people are choosing netflix because its concurrent are amazon, Hulu plus and they have way less choice of tv shows and movies online. So, by having more choice and more exclusive tv shows, Netflix is "killing" the concurrence.
2) Among the six online consuming segments, I see myself in the Sportster one. As an athlete and a huge fan of soccer I spend most of my online time on Soccer Website reading article about transfers, inteviews of players and coachs, but also looking for new cleats and new way to improve my performances. I spend about 6 to 10hours a month to read about soccer online. I actually write also some articles online about soccer.

Privacy and enhanced personalization
Safety is currently becoming a major problem on internet, people don't really know how to protect their own data. With the increasing number of people of social medias as Facebook, Twitter, or even instagram, and snapchat, people share datas without even thinking about them. At the beginning of Internet, people were did not trust on it so they were not sharing almost any personal information. Now, we share the place we live, our credit card numbers or the place we study... But it stills a new technology, people are not completely aware of how it works.
Today, personalization is coming up really quickly because people feel more safe about sharing private informations so companies can use those informations to personalize their products, their websites as Google is doing it. For example, when I'm looking for new clothes on internet, and the next day I will see some advertisements on facebook about the same kind of clothes I was looking for. Sometimes it is really helpful to find some good clothes or products, but it is scary as well, they know everything that you are looking online, they may know your credit card, the place you live...
And this is why we need the law to protect us, internet users against this "violation" of our private life by big companies as Google, Facebook, Amazon... It is scary because we don't know how deep it is, the recent case about snapchat stolen pictures shows us how scary it is. This case on internet where some people were able to see a lot of snapchat that we have send.
